Pricing goals and strategies
In the first paragraph you will determine the general pricing goals and the
strategies you will use to reach these goals. In the model plan several examples
are given. Change as you wish.
Pricing policy
The actual prices and the conditions or terms of payment are defined in the
pricing policy. The positioning of a product is the base from which a pricing
policy can be determined.
Every market has at least three pricing levels:
- premium pricing
= well above the average price
- value for money
= around the average price
- discount pricing
= under the average price
Important to determination of pricing policy are the company goals, the
growth in turnover, the growth of profits and the costs.
Pricing of the current product mix
Complete the table with the information requested. You can choose to do this
per product line or per product. If you do this per product line calculate the
averages.
